Chacun à son goût (which, as every student of Chicago high school French knows, means "everyone has the gout.") I sort of like the dignity of the original stations. The coffered barrel-vault ceilings were, I imagine, intended to evoke classical Roman architecture, complementing so many public buildings in Washington.Alan Follett Hercules, CA |
