That's because the older ones were destined for the scrapper by 1971. I believe that a lot of R1's already met their fates by then.It was absolutely absurd to recreate a stainless steel look (the rationale for the silver/blue scheme, to make older cars look less old) on cars which dated to the Hoover administration. |
