Other than that, I can't really think of any major scenarios where the Montague Tunnel is that crucial except weekdays.------------- I can! Once Mother and her friends learned how to get to and from the Aqueduct Casino by the R-train and the A-train, that involved much less walking up and down stairways, that also had working escalators and elevators - they were hooked! For Mom this method was a great deal of much less hassle than the trips to Port Authority, ferry, bus & subway, etc. The whole group would go! Happy times for me! (Smile) Then Hurricane Sandy! No Montague Tunnel - great difficulty walking to/from Bowling Green, and she finds the Fulton Center a complete maze - She's Not Happy! Mother found a bus direct from Staten Island to Sands, PA - She & her friends are HAPPY! No more Aqueduct Casino! Aqueduct's Casino's Loss! Happy Times For Me! (Smile) Plenty of people use transit for many reasons! Mike |
