Here's why.(1) Tom Pedi as Caz Dolowicz. An unforgettable character. ("WHO WANTS TO KNOW??") (2) The footage of the NYC subway in 1974 is great to see, even if the redress of the Court Street station as 28th Street was a bit cheesy. (3) Great acting by talented people who were pure NYC: Matthau, Jerry Stiller, Doris Roberts, Tony Roberts...and on and on. Even the bit actors who played Mrs. Jenkins, the Controller and the two cops who delivered the money were spot on. (4) The music. It was a movie that did not need to be remade, and should not have been remade. |
