Vista Sand is a large producer of frac sand, loading two 80-100 car trains a week at their Cresson, TX site:

Trains are pulled by BNSF and foreign power is typical. Today, on a four-engine lashup there was never-see-before power in Cresson, CN #8814, a SD70M-2. CN has never been in the power pool before on this turn:

Additional power included KCS "Grey Ghost" #4623, an AC4400CW:

KCS #4044, a sharp SD70ACe:

The wiring run on the locomotive is interesting:

And a NS unit that photographed poorly. Tied on were four Fort Worth & Western units that will be used on a local run tomorrow:

FWWR SD40M-2 #2025 is a former SD45 and is scheduled to visit the paint shop in a few months for her new paint job.
