Thanks for the heads up. There was a guy by the name of David Oats who I went to high school with. Long story short, among many things concerning Flushing Meadow Park, he did a lot to try & save & maintain the Worlds Fair structures left up after the park closed. He also fought for the dismantiling of the USA Pavillion, which was pretty much in a state of ruins when the wrecking ball finally showed up.

He would have loved to be here for the anniversary.

He passed away in 2008, way too young at 58.
