One year when I was in Boston I stayed at a hotel in Milton at the end of the Riverside Line overlooking the rail yard. It was cheaper than downtown Boston and extremely convenient to public transport to downtown. On previous visits, IO would often stay at a motel in the Brighton section which was right off the Commonwealth Av Line and a short walk to the Brookline Village station of the Riverside Line both of which provided easy access to downtown and a lot cheaper rate than a hotel in downtown Boston. |
