Obviously, it was tiled as Gold St. Does anyone here have any personal memory of whether this tilework was easily visible in the 1950s?If not, did they just cover it with sings, or actually re-tile it? Also, obviously, the station lights hadn't been turned on yet, and they didn't have powerful floodlights to illuminate the shot, but I still congratulate the photographer, whoever he was, for getting the shot done with the technology he had available back then... |
