Posted by Dave on Sun Apr 13 04:06:10 2014 From the steaming area we headed over to Terrytown Station and Gray Yard. The station includes a full-size dispatcher tower which directs operations on the railroad. That's an operating water tower. The yard is where trains are assembled and from there passengers climb on board:  A beautiful Fort Worth & Denver wooden caboose:  Switchers:   BNSF ES44DC #7601 waiting to highball out of the yard:   There are storage tracks near the yard throat. Here is a very nice Galloping Goose:  Box cab:  A drop-dead gorgeous SP F7 A&B set. We'll see her in action shortly:    The track plan circles the unloading area:  Next up, we explore the mainline and chase some trains! |
