• Cranberry juice in sleeping cars (Feb. 8) - I didn't know there was an option for anything other than water on the two sleepers I took last year. Doesn't seem like a great loss.
• Flowers and vases on dining car tables (Feb. 15) - These were actually pretty cool. I can't imagine how eliminating these would save money; maybe they could have just switched to fake flowers?
• Newspapers in sleeping cars (date depends upon vendor) - no use for these, a well placed news vending machine at the rest station is just as good

• Pre-departure Lake Shore Limited wine and cheese reception at Chicago for sleeping car passengers (March 31) - Man, I knew I took the LSL the wrong way last year. I'll be taking the LSL east this summer too, this would have been awesome. That said, I booked even not knowing this was a thing, so I guess it doesn't have too much of an effect on the bottom line...
