There was a temporary station there.Based on the New York Times article on 226th Street's opening, it seems like it was commonplace to open a temporary wooden station as soon as the steel reached a location, rather than wait for the permanent station to be completed. It may very well be that the temporary 231st Street station was at 230th Street. |
