(I think it's also the name of a square.)"I think Spui is the name of the canal that that tram stop is alongside. This may perhaps be a canalised version of the river Rail Blue mentioned. It is pronounced spow, to rhyme with cow as pronounced by a Canadian. There is also a street in Amsterdam called Spuistraat. |
