The only reason city employees should be issued a metrocard is if they are traveling for official city business during work hours. Not used for travelling to and from work. In fact travelling via public transportation should be mandatory unless its an emergency or transporting of items. During Bloomberg's administration he has tried to reduce the amount of city cars that were and are often abused. |
