My only question now is why they didn't immediatly switch the eastbound local track to the eastbound express track, after leaving the station? Then have the X crossover just beyond it. Then have a track from the City bound express switch to the local track. That way the platforms at Rockaway Ave subway station could have been used. why this big production with these temporary platforms? I know there is a curve, east of the station but it's not that sharp! |
