Unless the switch was thrown under the train (which is supposed to be electrically impossible) it looks like the T/O went through the switch without checking the iron & not having a lineup to do so, then before the entire train passed over the switch, T/O seems to have backed up, putting that part or the train, already over the switch, onto the track that the switch was lined up for. |
