Euclid is a station, not a shop. East NY can handle the repairs and inspections of the NTTs because they have the gauges, tools, maunals and parts to do it properly. Pitkin Shop or 207th St Shop cannot for the reasons stated. Since the NTT were bases at Pitkin during testing phase. many of the car inspectors and supervisors learned about the R-160s. There are also gauges on the property but there are virtually no parts at Pitkin to make needed repairs.
