You have to learn the LIRR and NORAC (Amtrak's rule book) because Penn Station uses NORAC. Try to get the LIRR manual of physical characteristics. Mine is undated but I know it's old because it shows PD tower and the Speonk switches are manually operated. My 2009 employee timetables shows they are remotely controlled from Babylon.Try to buy head-end cab ride videos. The railroad "comes to life" and makes the physical characteristics more understandable. |
