As we all know,the furthest THIS VERSION got was the massive land clearing[so called URBAN RENEWAL PROJECT to clear out what Robert Moses called the slums] when the TA decided to build the connector,along with Moses' LOMEX short tunnel segment..there really wasnt much to clear away since it was done earlier.tunnels were built..but the road was cancelled..leaving provisions for the SAS tunnel north and south and west to Nassau st line. |
