R9s, LoVs, Ds, ME-1s and ABs all have electrically equivalent MU control
and electric braking systems. They use the same voltage. The
differences are in the physical presentation of the trainline pins.
One would have to either change the electric portion on one of the cars
at the mating point to line up the pins, or make some kind of adapter
cable.
