Posted by TransitChuckG on Tue May 21 18:11:08 2013 Major construction at Wayne Junction continues . I beams in place for a new roof for the tunnel. A transit fan from Erie PA., the Erie Transit Authority (a dispatcher up there), drove all the way from Erie on I-80 then south to Philly, rode the 75 trackless today. His name is John Gerson, and he is very impressed with SEPTA. He is headed to SW Philly next to get photos of our subway-surface cars, then he return via, the PA . Turnpike to Pittsburgh to see the system there. Finally, the wires were taken out of the clips on the Rte. 75 Wyoming Ave. Bridge, and the wire was rehung and tightened up, so we don't have that "pole bouncing" anymore. C D Greene |
