What you say is true, but in EMS there are always bystanders and we do not have enough people to chase them away. No I would not want to have them place a ladder or an IV line, but we do ask them to hold sheets to offer privacy, or will ask one of them to keep pedestrians at bay, we would not ask anybody to direct traffic. In this situation, they could be asked to sit with someone who needs help, or perhaps lead them off of the viaduct to a safer location.ROAR |
