Long gone, replaced with a nice Philips. :)WRGB's old wreck was also a piece of "wonder", but Fred Lass on the ass several times. Yeah, best lightshow I ever had to clean up though was a POS Comark on top of Illinois mountain ... external cavity with a TX operator who had no clue as to how to stagger-tune or what 0 meant on the nitrogen gauge and then wondered why sparks were shooting out of the ports up top when it rained. Heh. 5MW ERP. Now THEM'S some sparks! Fred retired, Sarge Cathrall did too, and Skeeter's on his way out the door as well. Rich Klein wants out as well. All the oldheads going byebye. Can't say I blame them with the kiddie shows in charge of all the places these days. Ah, the days when that blue paper in a frame was worth the crap you had to endure. But as bad as those GE's were, there's nothing like the bite out of an old Collins when the mod transformer decided to let go. :) |
