For starters, I'm not sure that it would be much faster than the current trip to Newark/transfer to PATH. The ferry ride itself is something like 25 minutes, nevermind average wait time. On top of that, the expense of rebuilding the SIR North Shore to accommodate RVL trains to divert east of Cranford is probably far too high for what would probably be too few people. |
