Touristy areas tend to be Broadway and west, Battery Park, and the east side. Plus, the J doesn't even go to Fulton, nor does it bring tourists from hotels or other locations, so it's no surprise nobody wants to ride it. The R, OTOH sees more usage in Lower Manhattan south of Canal. |
