Well, they are the legacy who will live on after the older M's meet the torch. Besides, if you do a little survey of the good folks of the NH, I am quite sure many will simply say "time for 'em to go, nothing worth displaying". The M-8s are well liked by the regulars.I agree, they have been a part of the MNR scene and even pre-MNR from 1972, so I agree, I think at least a pair should be displayed, well spruced up inside and out just for the occasion. I would say get the very first M-2s, 8400/8401 (STILL in service!!). I said, personally, from the DRM, they should have rolled in the 4400 NH "Washboards". |
