Elkeeper: Here's an excerpt from "The Book of Last Runs."April 27, 1956 – This is the last day of operation for the portion of the BMT Fulton Street El between the Rockaway Avenue Terminal in Brooklyn and the 80 Street-Hudson Street Station in Queens. The last #13 Fulton Street Local left Rockaway Avenue at 6:55 PM and arrived at Lefferts Boulevard at 7:17 PM. It left Lefferts Boulevard at 7:33 PM and arrived at Rockaway Avenue at 7:55 PM and consisted of C-Types 1504 and 1511. The last # 13 - 14 Street-Fulton Street Express consisted of Multis 7011 and 7009 and arrived at Lefferts Boulevard at 7:01 PM. ERA Headlights June 1956 Larry, RedbirdR33 |
