The last MP54 ran on or about Oct 31, 1971.At beginning of summer '71 , there were 40 left. Some number died every week. They seldom ran to Babylon at that point, never to Hicksville and Hunstington, mostly on shoulder-rush trains to Brooklyn mixed with post-war P-S MU's. |
