I was wondering the same thing. If the suspension span of the Triboro can handle it but not the movable part, another possibility would be to split from he Triboro roadway at the Randall's Island (or rather Ward's Island) end of the suspension span and head west, crossing to Manhattan on its own bridge, which would bring it in around 102 St., and then connect to the Second Ave. Subway station at 96 St./2 Av.
