That's a famous picture. I have it in a book called "SUBWAY TO THE WORLD'S FAIR", which is about the various rapid transit lines that were built to accomodate the '39 Fair. The picture shows the World's Fair IND station that was built at the end of the extension from the IND Jamaica yard lead north of 71st-Continental Ave station in Forest Hills. The line used the right of way that later became part of the Van Wyck Expressway. Robert Moses turned down the idea of rebuilding the extension for the 1964 Fair, also held in Flushing Meadows.
