I have to disagree. while I'm as saddened as anyone else by the recent 12-9s, the subway did just fine without these gates, which would be very expensive not only to install, but to maintain.What's needed is a combination of greater caution by passnegers (don't get s***faced drunk before you ride the subway) and confinement of people with severe mental illness. |
