Horrible. I've nver operated, and I don't expect to operate a train. But simply driving my car for 28 years, I think of a few close calls- all but one involved children darting out. The most recent was 5 or 6 years ago- a kid, about 11 years old, on a bicycle, came out nowhere at all and passed right in front of me. Luckily I was doing about 10-15 mph and was able to stop without making contact. The boy continued racing away, not even aware of what nearly happened to him.

I know that my life would never be the same if I hit a pedestrian or bicyclist-even if it was their fault. Reading that T/Os are lucky to go 5 years without a 12-9 really wakes you up. And think about the condition of a person hit by a train- damn....
