Get going!The D from Bay 50th to Coney Island provides some scenery (though it was always best with the RFW, no longer available). Definitely get back to the Rockaways when they are back to normal. The flats is still a good ride, even without a RFW, but the RFW adds a lot (I think R32s still run there over the summer). The 1 north of 96th provides you the only outdoor sections on Manhattan island (besides bridges from Brooklyn). The 5 to Dyre is something different. And the 6 has some interesting sections around Westchester Square. The SIR. . .eh. . .if you've seen a few stations, you've seen them all, though Tottenville is interesting in that the train ends footsteps from the bay. |
