The Transit Museum is no longer offering tours to these areas due to security concerns expressed by the Mayor's office, so this could be your only opportunity to visit these areas for quite some time. Topics covered: 91st Street (IRT #1/9), closed since the '40s Grand Central Tower just south of 42nd Street and tunnel view of approaching uptown #6 locals 18th Street (IRT #6) Abandoned portions of Brooklyn Bridge express platforms, southern part of the station, view of approaching #4/5 trains from Fulton St and #6 trains from City Hall Loop Brooklyn Bridge Tower City Hall Loop and Station (right hand staircase open, although very dark) Chambers Street abandoned areas, covered side platform (BMT J/M/Z) Inner loop at South Ferry (IRT #1/9) Roosevelt Avenue, Queens - island platform, trackways and 700 foot tunnel section beyond station; part of a never-built IND line to run south through Queens, crossing the IND Fulton Street line at Utica Avenue. City Hall, BMT, lower level. 3 track station never used in revenue service. 2nd Avenue Subway under Chinatown. 750 foot section near Grand Street.
