I vividly remember standing on the Manhattan-bound platform at 63 Drive (GG,RR) that first day watching train after train of the oldest R1/9 F's I had ever seen racing towards Jamaica, with their 3-digit car numbers and filthy windows. Prior to then, Queens Boulevard had only the newer R1/9s, which seemed brighter and cleaner. The car population at Jamaica Yard was radically changed. |
