Posted by E and F and sometimes J on Thu Oct 25 15:53:42 2012 Does the J train need a third track between Broadway Junction and Crescent St?If the J line was third tracked between 121st St, and Crescent St, with a three track express station built at Woodhaven Blvd, while leaving the stretch between Crescent St, and Broadway Junction two-tracked, would there be enough space on the schedule for Crescent St to be an all-stop station with the express train skipping by Norwood Ave, Cleveland St, Van Siclen Ave, and Alabama Ave? I checked google and the trains run through this section of track every six to eight minutes during rush-hour. |
