All the images I have seen show Blue/Green Line PCCs running with trolley pole under catenary wire, which was the same wire the pantograph-equipped Red Line cars used.Newark NJ's PCC cars only got the pantographs towards the end of their service life, when the wires were converted to catenary from single-hung trolley wire. They retained the trolley poles in the rear. |
