Upper West Side station would most likely be underground I'm assuming...LOUD P32s in diesel mode going pass you in a enclosed space... I remember I was sitting in the underground Portion of the Fordam station when a P32 though train to either Wassic or Danbury came though and the sound was !!!!! Even as a foamer it was a bit too loud and I love how those P32s sound. They are softer on the ears in E mode. But these proposed MN stations on these two Amtrak line seem like a great place to do train watching/railfanning off peak hours as the station would be empty!... due to no trains serving these stops off peak. |
