Well this is close to it, but according to one of the old signs that hovered above the tracks on the platform at Union Tpke. station(they're gone now, this was about 26 years ago), the E and F were to continue to 179th St, and the G and N were to go to Jamaica Center. There was to be a G late night shuttle train from Van Wyck Blvd to Jamaica Center (This is what the sign actually said at Van Wyck Blvd underneath the black sticker covering. Whether they actually had plans to implement this scheme, I do not know.)The G did ran to 179th Street during late nights in the 90s though. |
