And for all the charges that he was pro-establishment, his shows in the 60's and 70's were remarkably progressive for their time. Adam-12 was one of the first cop shows to have more black actors portraying other cops than they had playing criminals. "Elegy For A Pig" should be required viewing for any virulent cop hater AND for any aggressive cop defender. |
