Assuming the facts have been accurately reported, why are the police harrasing people who are acting espressly legally?Why, after all the court cases and publicity, are the NYPD higher-ups allowing this? Considering how often it seems ot be happening, it seems to me that operating orders (probably unwritten) actually encourage this. Outrageous- not just from a railfan;s point of view, but also as a free society- the police enforce the law- they're not supposed to make it up. |
