My favorite memory of the R-10 was looking out the last car as it was flying down the Fulton St express. Noisy as hell, but at least it SOUNDED fast!Another not-so-favorite memory was when I was trying to catch a beat-up R-10 A train. I tried to stick my hand in the door, except the door cushions had been cut away, and the doors closed with my hand still there! Let's just say I yanked out my hand out really fast when I realized what was going to happen (and I never purposely stuck anything in subway doors since). |
