It was the TA's own fault about the car shortage..First ..they didnt order enough 143 to cover the eastern division... second..they retired WAY TOO MANY CARS[400 R 10/550 R27-30-30A] and replaced them mostly with the R68/68A..WHICH WAS Nowhere near enough to cover the loss.. The SAME situation exists today..with the retirement of the 44. The shortfall of the 160 car order[1,662 instead of the 1,700 that SHOULD have been purchased]..WHICH WILL REMAIN UNTIL the 211's are here. This "order SHOULD by all means be placed NOW.. |
