June 20 was a Friday in 1969. That was supposed to be our last day of school in Jersey, but because of all the snow days we incurred the previous winter (a blizzard hit the area hard in February), we had to make up three days and didn't finish unti the 25th. The Mets were in the midst of a hot streak at that time, too. |
