This is where I would shorten the (Q) to 4-5 cars (300' trains) and have such trains go to the Botanic Garden (S) station (Prospect Park-bound platform), terminating where people can go to/from the (2)/(3)/(4)/(5) to/from Manhattan. The regular (S) would be reduced to a single train operating from the Franklin Avenue-bound track at Botanic Garden to Franklin Avenue.I believe the Botanic Garden Station is at least 300' long and that's why I would do this in a situation like that. |
