Imagine if the BRT A types had been repainted in the MTA silver and blue!!!Fifty or so BRT A type car interiors were repainted the same interior color scheme as the R9's just before being scrapped. I can't recall the original intent of why the cars were repainted. I recall seeing a three car train of repainted BRT A/B types holding on track A3 at the IND 23rd Street station one night as I got off a R40 inbound from queens. First time that I ever saw a BRT A/B type on the IND main line outside of the Q/B line. |
