I am impressed with how quickly the MTA got things moving again, and how rarely these major issues happen.As someone who relied on private automobiles for the vast majority of my mobility until 2 years ago, the random nature of car travel with unpredictable traffic and frequent accident caused delays was a near-constant source of stress. While hundreds of millions or billions could be spent on alternate connections and extra capacity, people in NYC should be thankful that we have a system that is so reliable and predictable. |
