These are nice new houses, and there is no need to restore that line, as much as I would like to see it restored.But I have spent some time looking at Google Earth and if you want the opinion of the LION, the work equipment that you see in the 39th Street yard will be moved west to the water front, and the 39th Street yard will become the home of the (RR) train, perhaps just in time for the opening of the Second Avenue Subway and the moving of the (RR) train back to a full time Astoria - Ft. Hamilton routing. ROAR |
