There are no real railfan windows on Metra's push-pull equipment, though all the cab cars have a window in the end door from which a standing passenger can geet a good view forward on any inbound train.Metra push-pull trains are almost all stainless steel gallery cars, which do offer proper railfan windows inbound as long as the first car is open.  That photo is from the Union Pacific West line, I believe, taken in 2009. |
