I wasn't aware that there was any French spoken outside of the Quebec province.Francophone Canada actually ends up over spilling into portions of Western Ontario. Yes, there's Ottawa, the national capital, but you'll also find them in the rural region of eastern Ontario between Ottawa and Montreal, but also around Sudbury in northern Ontario. As Olog noted, Acadians still reside in New Brunswick with their own cultural identity from the Quebecois. One should also note that a decent chunk of the French Canadian population ended up pouring into Northern New England during the 19th Century. |
