Well ... first option is don't go to Quebec. As to the culture, it is what it is. So we ask NYC residents to be polite? :)Seriously though, Quebec is an old culture that has only recently started to reconsider hundreds of years of stasis. They're doing so. And I think we're also missing the fact that the Rev. Michael Dunning is also a troublemaker with his own agenda. That's worth extra torture points right there. (grin) And no, it's not so much that they detest the English as it is that they want to be left alone and in peace with their own values. The English and the French have had their own issues as well over on the other side of the Atlantic ... |
